3 Days Treking Orangutan Sumatra and Transport Option 1 (5D/4N)
Day 1 - Airport / Medan – Bukit Lawang
Our Driver will pick you up at Kuala Namu International Airport,
and take you to Bukit Lawang, 3 / 4 hours driving from Medan Airport pass
via Binjai and Kuala villages. Arrival in Bukit Lawang check-in at hotel.
Day 2 - Treking Orangutan Sumatra Day 1
After breakfast, your guide will collect you at 9.00am from your
guesthouse and you will start your journey into the jungle of Gunung Leuser
National Park to see wild orangutans. On your trek (6-7 hours), your guide will
educate you on the local wildlife, flora and fauna you may encounter in Gunung
Leuser. After lunch, you will continue your trek to see other wildlife (if
you’re lucky you may see the Thomas’ leaf monkey, white-handed gibbon, Siamang,
long-tailed macaque, pig-tailed macaque, hornbills, peacocks and learn
about the trees/plants which can be used in traditional medicine.
Day 3 - Treking Orangutan Sumatra Day 2
After breakfast provided by team Trekking Orangutan Sumatra
we will be walking into the jungle. spotting wildlife throughout the day and
learning more about orangutans (their behaviour, lifestyle and social skills).
After lunch, continue your trek to camp at the edge of Bohorok
River. You are then free to swim, help prepare dinner, or even go fishing.
After dinner, weather permitting, our team will prepare a bonfire and the
guides will entertain you with their jungle skills, games and songs before you
settle down to sleep.
Day 4 - Treking Orangutan Sumatra Day 3
After breakfast either we continue the trek with small walk in the
jungle, then back to the camp, or relax at camp, enjoying the beauty of the
jungle around you and swim in the cool and refreshing Bohorok river. After
lunch, you will leave the campsite by traditional Tube rafting. following the
river downstream to the village and directly to your guesthouse.
Day 5 - Bukit Lawang - Medan/Airport
Transfer back to airport (KNO)

2 or 3 pm Transfer back Airport or Hotel in Medan,
